Anne Marie Burk will be on hand to discuss her exhibit of “tush kyis” in the Gellhorn Gallery at 174 South Howard Street (Interplayers Theatre) from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.before the showing of “Good People” and during intermission. “Tush Kyis”, pronounced tush keys, are elaborately embroidered wall hangings that hang inside the yurts of Kyrgystan to symbolize the family’s pride in their heritage and Kyrgyz culture. Ann Marie is a teacher of English as a foreign language. She has lived and worked in Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, The Republic of George, and traveled throughout Central Asia and Russia as a teacher-trainer
Bridget Freeman Wamsley, an internationally exhibited artist, will be on hand to discuss her exhibit which conveys a woman’s conceptual life story at the McCurdy Community Room Gallery at 174 South Howard (Interplayers Theatre) from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. before the showing of “Good People”, and during intermission.
The public is invited to meet Anne Marie and Bridget and explore these historical, fun and fascinating exhibits.
